Squinancywort. Now, that’s a name that must be hiding a story. It’s ok, the music on squinancywort latest release, wrong, tells us a pretty clear story: that of someone in love with the possibilities the technology allows when it comes to make music. squinancywort’s sounds are full and round, multi-layered affairs that are completely high-res, clear like the best images captured by the latest telescope or microscope. These are both tools to look beyond the obvious in the optical realm and so are the ones used by squinancywort: tools that allow him to produce music that eliminates the obvious while investing in the strangely beautiful. His melodies sound like dreams, his rhythms stutter eloquentely and the overall arrangements are rich with detail. This is music that translates the now into the «what if…» that overs above everyone’s heads. Whatever the story squinancywort’s name might be hiding, this is music that urges to be discovered and enjoyed.
